February is Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month, and Cypress Springs High School is proud to highlight partnerships that bring real-world learning to life.
Under the leadership of Ms. Ahmad, our Audio Video Production students participated in a professional video podcast shoot at Hunt Law Firm’s Cypress office, located just across the street from our campus. With mentorship from industry professionals at Studio 1441, students produced two holiday-themed promotional videos. From lighting and production setup to directing and editing, students gained authentic, hands-on industry experience while building technical skills and professional confidence.
Our partnership with Hunt Law Firm extends beyond media production. This semester, a practicing family law attorney is mentoring our Future Lawyers in Practice (FLIP) team as they prepare for competitive mock trial. Sponsored by Ms. Russell and Ms. Davenport, FLIP is the only competitive mock trial team in CFISD.
Through this mentorship, students analyze case materials, practice courtroom etiquette, and present arguments “beyond a reasonable doubt” alongside legal professionals who guide them toward future careers in law.
At Cypress Springs, community connection is more than a theme—it’s a commitment. With the support of partners like Hunt Law Firm, our Panthers continue to do great things. 🐾

The Cypress Springs Lady Panthers Basketball program has officially swept District 16-6A! All three levels — Freshman, Junior Varsity, and Varsity — captured district championships during the 2025–2026 season, showcasing the strength, depth, and excellence of our program. From the Freshman team’s undefeated district run to Varsity’s championship performance, our Lady Panthers continue to represent Panther Pride at the highest level. A new Texas law (House Bill 1481) requires school districts to prohibit student use of all personal communication devices during the school day. Therefore, Cypress-Fairbanks ISD is updating its cell phone policy.
